What is Abacus?

Abacus is a tool that has been used for counting since ancient times. Abacus is a universally tested and accepted method to develop a child's academic abilities and creative thinking in a balanced way, so that they reach their full intellectual potential. Many also say that the Abacus program is a 'complete brain development' program.

In the beginning, the abacus tool is used to learn basic mathematical operations. Later, children start doing calculations in their minds by forming an image of the numbers on the abacus and taking into account all the mathematical operations.

Learning the abacus not only increases the speed of calculation but also increases the accuracy. Your child will be able to do basic mathematical operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in seconds without using paper and pencil.


Brain Development

The brain is composed of two sides, or hemispheres namely left and right hemispheres. The left hemisphere of the brain controls the right side of the body and accomplishes logical tasks, such as learning and information processing. On the other hand, the right hemisphere coordinates the left side of the body and carries out tasks related to creativity and art.

Children with behavioral, academic, social, or other challenges often have an imbalance where they predominantly use one side of the brain. This causes one side of the brain to be stronger, while the other side develops more slowly and is weaker.

Brain development in children occurs primarily before the age of 14, with much of that development taking place in the first several years of life. Abacus can be learned by anyone but it is more useful for young children under the age of 14.

Why Abacus ?

The abacus frame is designed in such a way that, when children count beads with the left hand, the right side of the brain gets stimulated, and when the right hand is used to count beads the left side of the brain gets stimulated. Both right and left brain work in coordination, visualizing is a right brains activity, and interpreting is the left brain activity both go together, and that is how both sides of the brain get stimulated.

In this way, both sides of the brain get stimulated and the development of the whole brain is assured.
